Mystic Domestic Cat Family

About My Domestic Cat Family

My domestic cat family lives in Edinburgh, Scotland, and we are Tootsie, Tango, Gary and Claire. I came to live in Edinburgh when I was just a little kitten, I was only 6 weeks old in fact.  I remember the day I first arrived, it was a scary experience!  Lots of people came to see me, most started poking at me with toys and sticks, I tried to chase them off and fight but it just made them do it more!  The first few weeks I slept in Gary (the big domestic cat) and Claire's bed, and purred.  I purred extra loud all night long just to make sure they could hear me - didn't fancy either of them rolling on top of me!  Eventually I started to sleep in my own bed, and it wasn't long before I asserted rule over the household, Gary and Claire didn't seem to mind.  Everything was fairly calm until I was a year old, then Tootsie arrived...

The Kittens

Tootsie the domestic cat is my two year old wife, she can be a little moody at times, but deep down she is an affectionate little sod, I met her when we were both 1 year old kittens, and it definitely was not love at first sight!  It was an arranged marriage, and I wasn't happy, she already had a litter with another tomcat, when she was only 6 months old for crying out loud (My parents wouldn't approve)! In the end, I felt sorry for her.  Her previous partner left her with the kids on her own, and she wasn't able to cope.  The kids were all put up for adoption which was sad.  Eventually Gary and Claire arranged for Tootsie to come and live with me, and it took a week or two of hissing and scratching before we decided to give things a go.  Things have been heaven since then, she is my little cutie pie.  Oh, one more thing, we have a new arrival!  Read all about him below...

Tango is our adopted kitten son, he's only 8 weeks old at the time of writing, and a hand full, let me tell you fellow domestic cats.  The little bugger runs riot 24/7, and I'm struggling to keep up - be warned.  Like the marriage to Tootsie, this little bundle of fluff was kind of forced on me, not that I'm complaining, but you think they (Gary and Claire!) would ask me before making such important decisions.  When Tango is not running about causing havoc, he will sleep beside me and ill give him a cuddle.  We lie and purr together for hours at a time.  At night time, Tango sleeps on Gary and Claire's pillow, and I just know when I hear his Harley Davidson purrs that he too doesn't fancy being rolled on top of!  Anyway, he's cute - have a look at some of his kitten pictures here!

Cricket Equipment

Cricket Equipment and thecricketstore.co.uk

If you want to do more than knock around plastic cricket balls Wouldn’t you rather be bowling with a real cork and leather ball, like the professionals? You need to invest in some proper cricket equipment and supplies. Cricket equipment –such as cricket pads and cricket gloves - offers more just protection, it also helps you take your batting and bowling to a new level.

The essential piece of equipment for a cricket player is, of course, their cricket bat. But it’s also essential to get the right cricket pads, shoes and gloves, which need to fit properly. The cricket helmet is vital for serious players, protecting the batsman’s eyes and face from serious damage by the cricket balls. Cricket pads offer protection from leg injuries and the hands and fingers can be protected with cricket gloves, but the most serious injuries are caused by blow to the head, which is why a helmet is worn for protection.

The right cricket clothing is also important, such as a player choosing between boots or shoes but such decisions should not be taken lightly, as with all cricket clothing. A poor choice might result in rubbing, blisters and a lack of grip.

The decisions you make about cricket equipment, cricket clothing or even cricket bat stickers can make a difference to your game so it is important to consider what is available within the market place because then you can have confidence that you’ve chosen what’s right for you.

Today’s typical batsman is look more and more like a armoured knight going to battle on the pitch, which of course he is – going into battle both armed and protected. The modern fast bowler can deliver balls at speeds in excess of 140kph so it’s no surprise that protective cricket equipment – pads, helmet, gloves - are considered so important by the batsman. A medium bowler’s delivery is not much slower - and which can cause enormous damage if the ball hits an area lacking protection... more info about Cricket Equipment >
